Garter Lane Arts Centre is delighted to announce that we will participate in this year’s ARTiculation.
Project Information ARTiculation:
ARTiculation Ireland is a public speaking competition that has been designed to promote the appreciation and discussion of Art, Architecture or Artefact. The competition seeks to engage students from 4th to 6th year with any of the above topics with the aim of developing a student’s self-confidence and their capacity to express opinions.
Please Note: Students do not have to study Art to participate.
How ARTiculation works:
- Students are invited to discuss a piece of art, architecture or artefact
- Creating a PowerPoint presentation
- No less than 5 minutes, no longer than 10
There will be a:
- Internal school heat
- Regional Heat (Waterford)
- And All Ireland Final (Location to be decided)
Garter Lane Arts Centre will host a Discovery Day the week of November 15th – 19th. A Discovery Day is designed to run through the ARTiculation and any questions that might arise and the best way to approach the project.
