A Little Room, June 4th at 6pm.
Waterford Young Arts Critics are a group of teens between the ages of 13 & 17 years old. WYAC meet fortnightly for arts workshops and also visit exhibitions, plays and art events. Working with creative professionals in Waterford such as Hayley K Stuart (Photography), Gary Kenneally (Video & Motion), and Neill MacCann (Graphic Design) WYAC have created a group exhibition made up of a selection of portraits and stop motion video.
WYAC have created a personal exhibition exploring life as a modern teen – Stop the Motion : Looking at Life Through a Teen Lens exploring the freedom of youth, childhood fun with friends & self-confidence. Stop the Motion exhibition pays homage to Eva O’Leary’s Spitting Image.
Stop the Motion is engaging, fun, friendly and an exciting project…“even though the word critics is a harsh word, we are teens having fun looking at art, and expressing ourselves”
June 4th, A Little Room. Tickets available from Garter Lane Arts centres box office on 051 855038. For further information on Waterford Young Arts Critics please contact gallery@garterlane.ie
