ALL WELCOME – FREE EVENT
Garter Lane Arts Centre with the support of Creative Ireland have invited 5 schools to participate in this year’s project Waterford 40 Years from Now
Exploring, developing and daydreaming about the city they live in, second level students from; De La Salle College, Waterpark, Newtown School and St. Angela’s will all take part in this year’s educational project. With the support of Creative Ireland, we aim to develop new ways to highlight the impact of creativity for all participating students.
Each student will design and develop a 2D or 3D work based on how they imagine Waterford in 40 Years from now. Working alongside professional artist Jennie O’Neill students will be supported throughout this process. The voice of the students is at the centre of this project. All works created will be displayed in Garter Lane Arts Centres main gallery space from January 14th – 18th.
