A Little Room is delighted to bring you another event which will showcase a work-in-development by theatre practitioners from the South-East.

“Walking” is the working title of a new collaboration between Clonmel based Actor and Writer Trevor Somers and Waterford Director Joe Meagher.

Taking as its starting point Trevor’s experience of walking The Camino Santiago, the finished piece, it is envisioned, will be both a general investigation into the idea of pilgrimage considered in its historical, cultural and spiritual aspects, and a more intimate examination of a given human being undertaking such a journey.

  • But when is a pilgrimage really a pilgrimage and not just walking away?
  • And can the pilgrim ever really know the difference?
  • And can we as people ever fully trust our own motives?
  • Are we in fact, as a species, hard wired to lie to ourselves?Selected readings from this still nascent work in progress and a discussion on the nature of the ongoing process of bringing it to fruition will take place in A Little Room on Tuesday March 3rd at 6pm. This is a free event.
