When Waterford was called Vedrafjordr every cord, from sewing thread to ship’s ropes had to be made by hand.
Fingerbraiding is a fun way to turn five loops of wool into a strong and attractive cord which was used to decorate clothes and to prevent fraying.
Easy to learn and fun to do… come and make your own colourful armband using this ancient method.
