ADI is delighted to announce Access into Action, a webinar series developed to support Irish arts and culture professionals to create accessible content and experiences for audiences with disabilities, as part of the Dublin Access Partnership.
Access into Action will provide practical knowledge that can be put into immediate action. Each webinar will provide a brief context, explore why an aspect of access is important, discuss the benefit for audiences, share practical know-how and close with a facilitated Q&A to ensure participants get the most out of each session.
To kick-start the series, ADI have Oli Webster, Programme Systems Manager at Stagetext, who will present Subtitling Online Content on Tuesday 14th July at 11am.
Note, places are limited and registration is €5
This 60-minute webinar will have a quick overview of online access for audiences who are deaf or hard of hearing, along with a taster of Stagetext’s longer series of free training videos, available to view here.
Oli will briefly cover some of the reasons we use subtitles, the wider benefits of their usage, some quick tips for improving the online access you offer, and finally, there will be a 20-minute Q&A session.
Each webinar will have live speech to text provided by MyClearText, and Irish Sign Language (ISL) interpretation is available on request. Requests for ISL should be made by 4pm on Tuesday 7th July by emailing adiarts.ie
Should you have any other access requirements or questions, I’ll do everything she can to accommodate you.
And finally, I’m excited to say that further sessions will be announced soon so please keep an eye on our website www.adiarts.ie.
