Seussical the Musical by by Presentation Secondary School Transition YearSeussical the Musical is based on an amalgamation of Dr Seuss's most famous stories including The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham and Horton hears a Who! Staff members, students and parents are teaming up to assist with make-up, hair, programme, finance, raffle and props. All sixty Transition Year students are involved in various acting, singing and dancing roles as well as part of the backstage crew and front of house.The Cat in the Hat is played by Anita Grey with twin sisters Emma and Katie Ryan playing Jojo and Gertrude McFuzz respectively. Kelly Paige is cast in the role of Horton the Elephant with Denise O'Connor taking on the character of Mayzie LaBird. Emily Fanning is the Mayor of Whoville and Kamara Morris is his wife. Also appearing are Ciara Hearne (General Genghis Kahn Schmitz), Adelaide Pemebele (Sour Kangaroo), Ashling Power (Judge Yertle the Turtle), Clara Fox (Grinch), Shauna Forsey (Young Kangaroo), and Mona Zubareva as Vlad Vladikoff. The Wikersham Brothers are Rosemary Noctor, Emily Rochford, Siobhan Whelan and Shannon O'Regan while Emma Murphy, Clara McCormack, Sophie Bray and Claire Walsh will play the birds.
The show is produced by our school Speech and Drama teacher Mary McNamara with the help of Musical Director Mark Scanlon and Choreographer Patrick Grant. The Stage Manager is Anne Brennan. The set was designed by Pat Hennessey, Mark Scanlon and Lupita De Bhail. View More Details... |
