Moonshine, the first publication from renowned Waterford playwright Jim Nolan, was first staged by Red Kettle Theatre Company in Garter Lane Theatre in 1991 before appearing in the Abbey Theatre, Dublin and going on a successful Irish tour.
Moonshine tells the story of McKeever, an undertaker, attempting to stage A Midsummer Night's Dream on Easter Sunday. But the gods seem to be conspiring against him as his actors start dropping out. Time is running out. Will he succeed in his quest? Jim Nolan's Moonshine is a moving and exciting play that will last in the memory long after the final performance.
