Admission FREE, Pre Booking essential The Empty Chair...Aontas winner of Munster- Small and Medium Organisation star awards 2016The Empty Chair... is a short film written, acted in and directed by men with acquired brain injury.Six participants drawn from the Belong Club ( a support group for people with Acquired Brain Injury run by ABI*) requested a drama class from WWETB*. Initially the group wanted to create a play however it was decided that a film was a better creative medium in case of sickness or absence.The men learned basic drama skills and were then supported to devise a story by artist Philip Cullen; each member contributing to the script overall, but primarily in the creation of their own character.It is written in the natural voices of the men. The theme was of their choosing.The issues-based script raises questions around homosexuality in a male group,bigotry, alcoholism, love and bereavement.
