First ViewGarter Lane Arts Centre in collaboration with WIT Department of Creative and Performing Arts is proud to present First View Project 2016, an exciting venture which offers student the experience of installing and exhibiting their own work in the gallery setting.First View Project 2016 will run in two phases, with the first group of 6 students opening their exhibition on Thursday 21th Jan at 6pm until Saturday 23rd. The following week sees the second group of 5 launch their exhibition on Thursday 28th at 6pm until Saturday the 30th. All are welcome and admission is free, so why not come along to Garter Lane Arts Centre for your chance to see emerging art and support the talent of our Waterford institute of technology students. First View Project 2016 is a creative collaboration between Garter Lane Arts Centre, WIT Department of Creative and Performing Arts and its student artists. The project forms part of the student's academic year and is an opportunity for them to be involved in the full process and practicalities of installing in a gallery space and exhibiting their work publicly. The exhibitions will feature innovative work from the student in a range of media including photography, painting, sculpture, sound and video installation.
