Create imaginative self portraits inspired by Garter Lane Arts Centre’s current exhibition of the National Self Portrait Collection ‘At Face Value’ curated by the Waterford Young Arts Critics.

Join artist Jill Bouchier to explore a variety of materials including pencil, charcoal, pastels and collage and create a unique portrait of yourself to take home!

 

Date/ Time: Thursday, March 8th, 4-5pm.

Venue: Children’s Room, 5 O’Connell Street (up the staircase, beside Delaney’s Florist).

Who: Suitable for children from 7- 12 years.

Enjoy music and dance in a workshop especially designed for parents, babies and toddlers. The dance studio will be transformed into a calming and comforting environment where dance artist Jess Rowell will guide you and your little ‘uns in an exploration of movement and rhythm.

Fun for little ones and a great workout for parents and guardians!

Enjoy a dedicated morning screening of ‘Loving Vincent’ for parents, guardians and minders to enjoy with babies up to 18 months of age.

These screenings welcome parents, guardians, minders to enjoy film with their babies so there is no need to worry about disturbing other film goers during this screening. Changing facilities and secure buggy store area available!

Years in the making, Loving Vincent is a biopic with a difference. This visually stunning film was shot in live action before a small army of artist’s hand painted every frame in the style of van Gogh. Told through multiple perspectives (with a talented cast including Saoirse Ronan and Chris O’Dowd), Loving Vincent lives up to its name and offers an affectionate tribute to one of history’s greatest artists.
